Originally the final verse of the hymn Awake, My Soul, and with the Sun, the Doxology now holds a place of prominence within the Church. With words written by Thomas Ken in 1674, it stands centuries later as one of the most frequently performed pieces in present day Christian worship.
Chuck Marohnic has created a beautiful arrangement of the Doxology, honoring the spirit of the piece while offering a fresh, updated harmonic approach. Fully-notated for solo piano, the music also includes chord symbols, allowing both classical and jazz pianists to enjoy playing the arrangement.
